It looks really nice. Flat grey background would be nice. and same Lighting. (I suspect Keyshot). are you using the same UV sheet?

Actually marmoset toolbag 2 for the renders Finn :). There is image based lighting already, just with the background image darkened out with some bloom so the black doesn't interfere with the details. UV sheet is packed slightly better but not much..I was just rushed to demo the textures lol

And can do with some closeups sometime over the next few days...I'm not sure what to do with this one haha theres allot I'm not happy with in the low poly/texture work..

Oh I agree with Finn actually. make sure you get rid of that black background for the final two images (which still look sweet btw)>

its a golden rule in this industry, vfx and games to never display final images on a black background EVER! ;)

haha yea, problem with marmoset I cant keep the image base lighting with a greyscale background. So much is wrong with this texture work lol. But heres some closeups, the bake turned out alright although there are some issues I could probably rebake for better results but I think they are minor and not really noticeable with textures. Oh well here are some closeups..you'll see all the bad bits now haha..unless you want some nice closeups of the high poly haha..no mistakes with that one XD

The scuff marks are a little too intense. from looking at the recent screenshots. it looks as if this gun has been dropped on the ground for a month on a road and cars and trucks have driven over the top of it. I believe this is because the damage on the gun is alittle off from places it normally is. Any chance for reference photos?

I would recommend doing a paint over ontop of the gun. and mark out places where damage is going to occur.
From

    - High
    - Medium
    - Low

Then review the current grime and damage and see if its in the right places.
I would also suggest adding other elements such as grease and other evidence of damage or paint work onto the gun.

looking great pete, great seeing this evolving.
